Hazard markers warn you that the road ahead is about to change direction because of a:
Curve
Steep descent
Obstacle (for example, a traffic island or roundabout)
Obstruction (for example, the end of a cul-de-sac).
Hazard markers tell you the direction to take when approaching the obstacle or driving past the hazard. You must obey these signs.
DRIVE TO THE LEFT OF THE HAZARD
Action: These signs tell you that you are coming up to a hazard (such as an abrupt narrowing of the road, or a road obstruction) that you will need to drive left to avoid. You must drive to the left of the sign.
DRIVE TO THE RIGHT OF A HAZARD
Action: These signs tell you that you are coming up to a hazard (such as an abrupt narrowing of the road, or a road obstruction) that you will need to drive right to avoid.
You must drive to the right of the sign
TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT HAZARD
Action: This sign appears at T-intersections, facing you if you are driving on the road that is ending, or on any road where a traffic island or obstruction is ahead.
